British Multinational Confectionary Company founded in 1824 in Birmingham by the Cadbury family. Cadbury World, their visitor attraction was opened in 1990 on Cadbury’s Bournville manufacturing site and has gone on the become one of the largest leisure attractions in Birmingham, welcoming over 500,000 visitors each year.

The Challenge

Cadbury needed Assisted Hearing Systems throughout the Cadbury Tour at Cadbury World, to enable all of their visitors to be able to fully enjoy this attraction. The need for fire evacuation chairs to assist wheelchair users in the event of an emergency was also an issue, with customer safety being of paramount importance.

How We Helped

A comprehensive site survey was carried out, taking in all of the Cadbury World attraction, this also included the area where the chocolate is made. We then worked closely with our client to provide our market leading Induction Loops for the hard of hearing and our ChairMate product in key areas, should the need for emergency evacuation become necessary.

The Outcome

With the introduction of our Induction Loops, all visitors, including the hearing impaired are now able to fully enjoy all aspects of this popular attraction. For wheelchair users, they now have the peace of mind that with the introduction of our ChairMate product, in the event of an emergency they can be safely evacuated from the attraction.

We chose ChairMate from KTP as it was the most efficient and effective product to evacuate our customers in case of an emergency.  We would be very pleased to recommend them
